Our Vision

Dear Uplift Family,

It is my honor to serve as the Uplift President for the 2020-21 term, and I hope everyone is excited for the events and opportunities we will bring to you all this school year. Although this year has been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, we are hoping to bring our Uplift family only excellence when it comes to our social, spiritual, and service events considering the circumstances. Our vision of community is stronger than ever this year, as we wish to adapt and grow our youth group to be more inclusive than ever.

The Uplift council has a vision of turning Uplift into a safe space for all youth that wish to be a part of our family. We want to build upon the needs of our community when it comes to halaqas and social and service events, giving you all a chance to be heard, seen, and most importantly, together. Togetherness is a quality we have all missed out on in the past few months, but we wish to bring our community closer, to bring our brothers and our sisters closer, to know one another, and to become a great, big family.

We want your input throughout this term of Uplift, we want your engagement throughout this term, so please feel free to contact us through our email, Instagram, and Uplift Website. Any questions, concerns, or suggestions will be directed to our council and we will all do our best to help you in the best way possible for everyone.

Our team consists of myself, Yusra Khan (Public Relations), Nada Aly (Service-Event Organizer), Ibrahim Merchant (Social-Event Organizer), and Fatima Safdar (Spiritual-Event Organizer), and I hope we can bring you all a great year as a member of Uplift! Thank you all so much for being a part of our Uplift family!
